Starting photography as a newbie had its perks and draw-backs. The perks being that each image taken with your camera is exciting, you get to learn how to use the camera and develop.
I have been taking photographs for two years and I have still barely touched the surface. I have learned a few things and have picked up a few tricks along the way.
I consider this blog as my scrap book of my favourite pictures that I have taken in the two years.
I take these images with my Nikon D3100.
This picture was taken of
my friend for blog, of her outfit. She preferred me not to shoot with flash as
it compromised to the look of the image, and the actual design of her
attire. I increased the ISO in order the censor to collect more light, but I
had to be careful because her blouse is white and skirt is black meaning that I
could increase the ISO too much or slow down the shutter speed or the blouse
would have become too bright and ruined the image.
Here are the settings for the picture taken.
F-stop - f/4.2 = Aperture Exposure Time - 1/60 sec. ISO - 200 Metering - Spot Flash - No

I took this picture in Beddington park near where my children live. I had my tripod with me so I decided that I wanted to take shots with a slower shutter speed. With the slow shutter speed this waterfall look ever flowing. Here are some of the settings used for this picture: F-Stop - f/36 Exposure time - 30 sec Focal Length - 55mm Max Aperture - 5 Metering Mode - Spot ISO speed - 100
This image was taken earlier this year, of my friend, Reetah, for her blog 'Styled into Fashion. This was taken with the standard kit lens, in Westminster
Here are some of the settings I had used for this image.
